INSTALL

The system is installed using products third party tested to BS:8458 residential water mist standard, and BS:9252 sprinkler standard.

Flexible tubing means installations are carried out easily and quickly, not only speeds up the installation process but also alleviates the need for notching and drilling of large holes. NB. Stainless steel pipework available where a system is not installed behind fire rated barrier

iCO’s discreet nozzles fit flush with the ceiling, the product has been designed to fit into a standard GU 10 down light hole size, with just 3 mm of the nozzle assembly below ceiling height. The small assembly can fit into a ceiling void of just 50 mm. Colour matching and stainless steel finish nozzles are available on request.

The low flow compact self testing pump unit operates from a 13 amp power supply and water supply of only 12 lpm @ 1 bar pressure, designed to operate from any water supply, no upgraded water main or large storage tanks are required. The unit is compatible with all types of fire panel using volt free contacts and wireless monitoring for real time alerts and customisable self-test facility.

DESIGN

All Quantum Fog suppression systems are designed to meet the requirements of BS 8458, designs are produced by our in-house design team utilising the latest CAD software.

The design is a critical part and the first step, our designs can be submitted to any authority where approval is required and coordinated designs can be produced for the benefit of other trades involved in the design and installation process.

We work closely with Architects, Consultants, Developers, House-Builders, Main Contractors, Mechanical & Electrical Contractors, Local Authorities, Care Home Providers, Housing Associations and private Home-Owners, amongst others.

Our projects are also uniquely diverse, ranging from private dwellings to HMOs and Heritage Properties, through to any type of large-scale residential development requiring fire suppression, including Care Homes, high-rise Flats & Apartments and new-build Housing Estates.

Quantum Fog are happy to help liaise with the relevant Authority Having Jurisdiction, such as the local Fire & Rescue Service, Building Control Officer, or Water Company involved, ensuring that all fire safety matters are dealt with proactively and professionally, within the desired timescale.

On average iCO uses 80% less water!

SUPPLY

We welcome enquiries from Companies that have large scale projects who wish to carry out the installation work themselves, in order to be fully certified to standard BS: 8458 Quantum Fog must produce the system design, train designated staff, undertake interim inspections and witness the commissioning of the system.

MAINTAIN

We provide service agreements for companies and home owners on all types of mist systems and fire sprinkler systems.

Regular annual maintenance of residential and domestic fire suppression systems is highly recommended for peace of mind and on-going compliance with water regulations and insurers.

It is particularly reassuring for clients to know that the engineers who undertake such checks at their property have themselves been verified with the Criminal Records Bureau

This is especially important for those with a duty of care, and where occupants are particularly vulnerable.
